Need to get into Shape *pant*

That's it. I'm going to start getting my sorry little self into shape.

Well, I didn't really think that I was *that* out of shape until a little game of basketball in morning. 4 of us (friends from secondary school) decided to play against some young guys and the it was a sight to behold. Leaden legs, short of breath, being run all over and the worst thing... someone scoring in your face. ARRGGHHH such humiliation. Looking on the bring side, once in a while, a little humility is good for the mind and soul =)

That's what I like about hanging out with these friends. Everything we hang out, it's a blast. Something interesting is bound to happen and there'll be fun and laughter. Try as I might, I have not been able to find another group of people with whom we share this kind of chemistry. We can disappear for a while, and when we get back together, it'll just be the same as before.

Another week ahead with its many battles and dramas. Dear God, I commit this week unto You. Not by might, not by power but by the Spirit.

*yea*

The week that was

Well... it has been quite a while since my last posting and loads have happened since.

Willie, my brudder in Christ got baptised. *way to go!* I was there getting wet together with him (someone had to help immerse him into the pool) and boy, was the water cold... should have put on my wetsuit, but I thought that'll be an overkill :)

Watched Umizaru prior to the church service. It's a movie about a group of people training to be rescue divers. Yes yes, typical feel good show about how someone rises above the pettiness in the training and yet vulnerable as he has his own fears climaxing into a diving accident where he bravely stands by his buddy even though both are low on air. Hey, in this cynical world we live in, a little opitmism and inspiration never did hurt right? The aspiration to be noble, kind-hearted and fighting for ideals and principles. Anyway... whether you want to watch the show... well, it would help if you do dive or know something about diving

Tuesday. Met up with my 5th Uncle who flew in from Sydney plus some of the relatives from my father's side based in Singapore. Had dinner with them in Goodwood Park Hotel. Suspect the cost of the dinner is 1 month of my salary *yikes!* Oh, Goodwood Park serves SUPERB durian pudding. It's just sweet, creamy and absolutely heavenly. In fact, probably I might drop by that place one day to stock up on durian candies... after my salary doubles that is :p

Christmas is coming round the corner. You can just feel the atmosphere in the air, especially when you have been tasked to perform something for your company's year-end party and another carolling session at IMH 7 Dec. Woohoo, hope the band can get together to spruce up something and not get a last minute cancellation

Well, think that's all there is for now. Actually I'm sure that there's more, but it's ... just ... that ... time ... where .... zzzz *cheerios*

What? No Jam?

Nope, not the one that goes on the bread, but the one where everyone gets together and make a whole lot of ruckus and pass it off for music. Yea, got an sms in the afternoon telling me so. By then, it was too late to go watch the Incredibles and make sure my friend isn't doing anything funny (refer to yesterday's blog)

So to make up, hung out with some old mates from school at the pool parlour. Man, it does bring back memories of the days where we were young and carefree. No responsibilities and all the time in the world. Perhaps, one of the rare times where I look forward to school. *lol*

Surprisingly, all was quiet on the working front. Seems like Boss had a lot of work to do and couldn't bother us that much. Funny how she has become more human since I started work. Must be my influence. But that's a story for another time.
1 days down and 4 more to go! woohoo!

A Sunday Gone By

Go watch Incredibles!
Seriously. After a dearth of movies for a long period... (since Police Story 4 if you ask me), finally the big wigs in Tinseltown got something right and brought the Incredibles to us.
Nah, not going to tell you guys what the show's all about... save that it's funny, heart warming and for a cartoon, you get reasonably intelligent dialogue. :)
So why Incredibles today? There's this friend (male) of mine who is going about organsing an Incredible session on Monday aka tomorrow. So I ask, what's the occasion for the mood. Coz as I read his email, you just couldn't be reminded of SDU! *gasp* Nah, it ain't that extreme... but somewhat along that lines. Now, the status is that there are 4 girls and 1 guy going and I wonder if these 4 girls are trying to tell him something. *innocent whistle* But of course, what am I thinking... it's just a movie isn't? Tsk... and I have digressed from the main point, being that I can't make it tomorrow and decide to go watch it today. :)
But really, as I thought about this SDU business over the weekend, I just cannot help but wonder what's it in us that makes us want to search for a mate, find a partner, look for a helper, settle down, whatever you want to call it. Something that makes us happy and over the hill if it's going well and all down in the dumps when it's not. An unexplainable and sometimes unstoppable force of attraction that has made a fool out of many a man.
Maybe I'll just show up on Monday. You know, keep and eye on the situation and make sure nothing happens.
Of course, if all is peaceful, there's always the Incredibles to look forward to again :)

First Blog woohoo!

Seems like the whole world is blogging and sometimes you just know you 'can't fight this feeling anymore'. So here I am, sitting in front of the computer on a Friday night entering my first blog.

So what am I to say or type in here for that matter... *yawn, bed calling me*

Sometime back took part in the Shell Economist Competition. I seriously doubt whether the judges know how to spot a good work when they see it... coz our didn't win! nada, zlich, zip, zero, kosong, a BIG FAT O. You can go here: http://ksong.ipadder.com/ 19 Nov entry if you want to have a look at it.

Well, guess that's it for now... watch this spot for more posts as I get the hang of blogging.
